Job Overview

$15.00/hr for Entry Level. 2nd & 3rd shifts. Part-Time.

Full-Time positions available with at least one year of prior experience.

Salary commensurate with experience.

  • Monitor & report clients’ behavior to the Director of Supervision and Shift Supervisor
  • Administer urinalysis
  • Comply with all DOC/ACA regulations
  • Computer, written, and verbal skills are all required

Self Help Movement is a drug and alcohol treatment facility located in the Far Northeast section of Philadelphia. We are an all-male inpatient program, 17 years of age and older, consisting of three levels of treatment.
We currently have an opening for a Building Maintenance Assistant! This is an opportunity to work in an environment of compassion, understanding, and respect providing the service that is instrumental in the recovery process of our clientele. This is your chance to make a difference in the lives of your neighbors.

Job Overview

• Perform routine daily maintenance for properties, including but not limited to plumbing, minor electrical and minor HVAC repairs
• Perform general repairs, including but not limited to carpentry, painting and grounds maintenance.
• Adjust, fix or replace all hardware on doors, cabinets, furniture, bathroom partitions, windows, etc.
• Replace stained or damaged ceilings, flooring, cove base, wall protection, ceramic tiles, etc.
• Change light bulbs, fixtures, ballasts, switches, receptacles, and reset circuit breakers
• Remove or relocate snow, de-iced grounds.
• Document all facility deficiencies through daily travels.

 Education Requirements

  • Minimum High school diploma/Equivalent

Clinical Counselor

We currently have an opening for a Counselor! This is an opportunity to work in an environment of compassion, understanding, and respect providing the service that is instrumental in the recovery process of our clientele. This is your chance to make a difference in the lives of your neighbors.

Job Overview
• Facilitate daily individual and group therapies, including family therapy as appropriate
• Complete individual and group progress notes
• Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans
• Communicate with insurance providers to advocate for residents
• Complete discharge and aftercare plans, including collaboration with probation/parole, case managers, and others
• Periodic evening and weekend hours

Education Requirements
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Counseling/Psychology from an accredited institution with specialization in addictions or related field
• Minimum one-year professional work experience in the field of addictions/recovery
• Working knowledge of 12 Step Recovery Program
• Excellent written, verbal, and computer skills
